We\u2019re thrilled their haulage partners are also using the fossil-free fuel for their malt deliveries with the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crownoil.co.uk\/products\/hvo-fuel-hydrotreated-vegetable-oil\/\">Crown HVO fuel<\/a> is a synthetic, paraffinic diesel fuel derived from 100% renewable raw materials. It\u2019s stable, sustainable and high quality, offering better combustion, filterability and cold temperature resistance than other diesel products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a wide range of OEM approvals, HVO fuel can be put directly into their vehicles, with no modifications and performs faultlessly, ensuring long-term reliability when fuelled by the advanced renewable fuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As well as reducing net CO2 emissions by up to 90%, Crown HVO is also found to reduce NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions by up to 27% and PM (particulate matter) by up to 84%; all key components towards achieving improved air quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are thrilled that Simpsons Malt are taking their sustainable efforts one step further by featuring a HVO logo on the trailer of each truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proven benefits of using HVO are extensive both practically and environmentally. It&#8217;s great that Simpsons Malt is already seeing the value of using this more sustainable, fossil-free fuel and hope this is the beginning of a longstanding relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The credentials of HVO are being increasingly noted, which has been proven by a more than 100% increase in UK uptake in the last year and, at Crown Oil, we are proud to be one of the UK\u2019s leading distributors of this advanced renewable fuel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-crownoil-content-spacer content-spacer\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Here at Simpsons Malt, we&#8217;re passionate in our quest to reduce our carbon footprint and I&#8217;m delighted that we&#8217;ve been able to contribute towards this in the Transport Department in switching our 28-strong fleet based out of Berwick-upon-Tweed to HVO, significantly reducing the level of harmful emissions we produce.
