Catering distribution business Bunzl Catering Supplies has switched its London-based fleet of vehicles to Crown HVO fuel as part of its Sustainable Future programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fleet at its Charlton branch, which delivers to hospitality operators across London, comprises Euro 6<\/a> engines which are now fuelled with Crown HVO fuel<\/a>. HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) can be used as a drop-in alternative to fossil diesel without having to modify diesel engines<\/a>. It provides up to a 90% reduction in net CO2<\/sub> greenhouse gas emissions and also reduces noxious tailpipe emissions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

As part of our commitment to building a sustainable future we are constantly looking to provide our customers with sustainable solutions to foodservice delivered through an efficient and environmentally responsible distribution network. Why is Bunzl Catering Supplies using Crown HVO fuel?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bunzl Catering Supplies has moved over to Crown HVO fuel to reduce its impact on the environment whilst still delivering foodservice solutions to its catering and hospitality customers in London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The introduction of HVO fuel in its transport fleet is part of its Sustainable Future programme, which aims to make improvements in areas such as recycling, fuel usage and sourcing sustainable products.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We are delighted to switch to HVO fuel to service the catering and hospitality industry in London and feel proud to be one of the first UK distributors within our sector to do so. Our sustainability strategy in operations is to reduce our environmental impact and look for new ways to improve our performance and therefore reduce our carbon footprint.
