What is high flash distillate kerosene?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

High flash kerosene, like its name implies, is simply kerosene<\/a> but with a higher flashpoint of 79\u00b0C and a boiling range of 198-237\u00a0\u00b0C. While both products are similar in terms of performance, high flash kerosene\u2019s higher flash point means it\u2019s safer and less prone to igniting compared to regular kerosene.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

High flash kerosene uses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

High flash kero is intended for industrial use as a solvent rather than for use as home heating oil<\/a>. Its main uses include washing parts, as a chemical intermediate, a cleaning solvent or as a general solvent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HFK is also used as a refined hydrocarbon with a slow evaporation rate. It\u2019s safer to use compared to other solvents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When used for spray and sealing applications, high flash kerosene is more effective in wetting the aggregate surface as a binder.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
